Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Donor Center Coordinator. The Donor Center Coordinator is responsible for the triage/screening and evaluating potential organ, tissue, and eye donors by obtaining medical and social history, and by working with hospital partners, coroners, processors, donor families, and other relevant agencies to facilitate donation. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring that all donors and potential donor families are offered the opportunity of tissue and eye donation. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in the training of staff and maintaining accurate donor center information. The donor center is a 24 hour per day operation, 365 days per year. Specific shift assignments will be determined upon hire based on staffing needs and could be day, night, or swing shifts as available.

This position full time 40 hours per week. Schedule is 3 twelve hour shifts and 1 four hour shift per week. This role has the flexibility of self scheduling!

Minimum Qualifications for this position are as follows:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills, ability to multi-task, experience using multi-line phone systems, and intermediate medical terminology specific to critical care healthcare


  • Associates degree, medical-related certification, or some post-secondary education strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a call center environment, dispatch such as EMS, social work, nursing, or medical assistant roles are highly desirable
  • Medical Assistant, LPN, or similar preferred
