Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate quality review of electronic organ and tissue donor records, Donornet® and Tiedi® data. The Quality Assurance Specialist will conduct reviews in a manner that confirms compliance with applicable accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Specialist recommends and participates in improvement activities designed to support and enhance optimal organ and tissue donation outcomes.

Schedule for this position is Mon-Fri, usual business hours.

Minimum Qualifications for this position are as follows:

Required:

  • Some post-secondary education is required
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills as well as strong computer skills, including Word and Excel

Preferred:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field
  • One to two years' experience in formalized quality assurance record reviews
  • One to two years' organ and/or tissue industry experience
  • Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) certification preferred; or must obtain CTBS certification within 18 months of eligibility
