Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates is seeking a full time Recruiter to join our Human Resources team!

The Recruiter is responsible for supporting the functions of staffing and recruitment activities for Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates. The role will work in conjunction with the Talent Development Manager, other Human Resources staff, and department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and criteria, assist with job posting and advertisement processes, screen applications and assist in selecting qualified candidates. The Recruiter will handle phone interviews for assigned vacancies, as well as assist with directing managers and peers with interviewing efforts. This role will work collaboratively with the Human resources team to ensure a smooth recruitment process.

This role will also serve as a resource to the KODA Human Resources staff for various matters within their scope of responsibility and skill. This position works with minimal supervision and self-direction to complete goals and objectives as established by the Talent Development Manager.

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Screens applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing using behavioral based interviewing methodologies.
  2. Identifies qualified candidates through various recruiting and sourcing strategies.
  3. Assists with coordinating the entire recruiting life cycle from initial conversation through onboarding by phone, email and/or text messaging.
  4. Develops and maintains strong relationships with hiring managers, peers, and leadership.
  5. Meets regularly with hiring managers to identify current and future needs as well as develop a thorough understanding of departmental needs.
  6. Solicit current staff for referrals.
  7. Provides weekly updates to Talent Development Manager on status of requisitions and the candidates.
  8. Organizes, leads, and documents post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates.
  9. Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
  10. Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers.
  11. Avoids legal challenges by enforcing regulations with managers.
  12. Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  13. Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
  14. Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues relating to the assigned program or section area.
  15. Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the recruitment/talent management function.
  16. Works on special projects.
  17. May participate in special and cross-functional project teams.
  18. Continuously updates recruitment and human resources related knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and/or participating in professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications for this position:

Required:

  • Two years of post-secondary education such as an Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or people-related field (Sociology, Organizational Psychology). Extensive related experience may be substituted for educational requirements where applicable.
  • Two to three years of recruitment experience including a strong understanding of legal and ethical recruitment practices
  • Experience with recruitment of multiple positions in varying departments and degrees of skill and educational levels

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Healthcare recruitment background
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking software is strongly preferred
